Over the first 3 weeks of this topic we studied birds. We looked carefully at their types, features, similarities and differences. In art we looked closely at feathers. We began by looking at images of feathers, looking at real feathers and closely investigating them under a magnifying glass.
When we felt ready we sketched rough copies in our art pads and spent time improving our drawings until we felt ready to sketch using white pencils on black paper. We then used polystyrene tiles to make feather prints.
