As part of our Eco School topic transport we have been promoting more environmental ways to travel. We are all aware that our location does not lend itself to environmentally friendly ways to travel to and from school for most families, however we did not want this factor to stop us promoting it.
By teaming up with Iain Sneddon from Sustrans we have provided our pupils with lots of knowledge on how to travel safely using environmentally friendly ways. Iain provided workshops on
- Cycle Skills - some of our older children even achieved the National Standard for Cycling
- Bike Maintenance
- Puncture Repair
- Road Safety
- Ditch the Dark Day
