Carr Primary School prides itself in a homely, friendly atmosphere with a curriculum suited to meet the needs of all its pupils. Pupils in Carr learn through the N.I. curriculum whish has the Areas of Learning as follows:

At the heart of the curriculum lies an explicit emphasis on the development of skills and capabilities for lifelong learning and operating effectively in society.
We believe children learn best when learning is interactive, practical and enjoyable. Our teachers use a variety of teaching methods, balancing whole class, group and individual activities to engage children in effective learning. Teachers plan extensively each week and learning intentions are shared with the pupils.
Assessment procedures are used to evaluate the teaching and learning process and inform future planning.
